Ahem! began with a problem in our own home. My wife has ADD and asked for something to help her stop missing meeting notifications. I needed it too: deep in focus, with music playing through my headphones, I would miss the little reminder in the corner of the screen. We needed something that would actually get our attention.
I built a full-screen reminder for us. The response from others was so encouraging that a personal solution became a fully released product. Ahem! now brings meeting reminders, live countdowns and quick joining to Mac and Windows. The iOS app was built around the way we use iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with Dynamic Island, Live Activities, widgets, StandBy and haptics.
I wanted to build an app that did one thing and did it well. Something you could buy once, at a reasonable price, without another monthly subscription creeping up every three months for no good reason. An app that wouldn’t harvest your data. One that just minded its own damn business.
That’s the idea behind Ahem! Your data is yours. The app is the product. No subscription, no tracking, and your calendar data stays on your device. Just a useful, no-nonsense app that respects you, your valuable time, your wallet, and your data.
